are you looking for a fun and loving place for your fur baby to stay while you’re out or away from home? hank’s pet lodge is family owned and operated by pat and sherry barker along with their daughter michaela gardner and husband, cody. during her high school years, she had the opportunity to work at a dog/cat boarding facility for two years. during her senior year of high school and preparing for college, choosing an education path in animal care was the direction to achieve her dream. to prepare, gain knowledge, and experience, she attended indiana business college in indianapolis, indiana, and received a degree as a veterinary technician. she worked at the hospital for two years.
every day she gained more and more experience in animal care and handling. in 2017, to gain experience running a small business, michaela started working for her family’s construction business as the office manager. in 2019, the planning began to open the boarding facility. he was very special to all the family. hank loved running around the family farm and playing with the other animals. after numerous tests and recommended treatments, our family had to make the unimaginable decision to let hank rest in peace. the facility was named in honor of hank.
our top priority is your pets safety and happiness. bedding: all of our accommodations include a raised bed. if you would like, you can bring bedding for on top of the raised bed or toys. switching a diet in a short period of time can cause an upset stomach for some pets. medications: we can administer any medication that is needed. if any injections are needed there will be a charge of $5/day.
grand lodge: our grand lodge is separate from all other boarders. they are 6’x8′ indoor with access through an insulated doggie door to a 6’x8′ patio. $39 per night cozy cabin: our cabins are 4’x6′ indoor with access through an insulated doggie door to a 4’x6′ patio. outdoor access will be available all day weather permitting. $27 per night kitty cottage: our cottage is for our kitty guests! $17 per night kong treat: a kong toy filled with peanut butter will be given to your pet which is a great enrichment activity! your dog must pass our behavioral assessment to be able to participate.
